Alex Curry has been on a mission to bring RR back to life lately. He's been doing a lot of filming and getting the guys together to get some shots. Yesterday he posted a video of Steve Stepp and Evan Resetar hitting rails over at Big Boulder PARK. You can check it out over in the Videos section. I've also created a Twitter account for RoundtopRiders if you're Twitter. This will help you stay updated with any new content that we post during the season. Thanks for coming back to the site and enjoy the new edit!
Yo! I just uploaded QUICK! to the video section in case you would prefer to download it rather than stream it on Vimeo (see post below). Kyle Barnoff posted an awesome article on his blog Steeze Muffin about the release of QUICK! to the interwebs. You can read it here. I also added another movie that we made before QUICK! The movie was called Been There Done That and it's pretty decent. Keep in mind that this was 2004-2005 and skiing has progressed A LOT since then. But, it's cool to look back and see how much better everyone got! Hope you enjoy the new (old) content!
Over 3 years ago we started to work on a project called QUICK! It would be our first *real* ski movie. We had sponsors, lots of amazing riders, tons of footage, and loads of fun. After hundreds of hours of editing and capturing, we produced a great DVD. We ended up selling nearly 200 copies and hosted 2 movie premieres! I was extremely proud of the success of QUICK! and the hype it generated. It's been a few years since then and RoundtopRiders has been slowly dying (in case you couldn't tell...). Many of our riders have moved onto bigger and better things. *Ahem* Pro skiers.... *ahem* So to celebrate their success and the RoundtopRiders.com site during it's peak, I decided it would be cool to release QUICK! for free. I'm uploaded it to Vimeo and you can watch the FULL VERSION here! Hope you enjoy it!
This week has been incredible for snowmaking up at Big Boulder PARK. Snowmaking started yesterday with snow being made on the Freedom Park, The Plaza, and Boulder Park slopes. The weather is staying super cold all week so it's expected that Big Boulder will be open for riding on Saturday and Sunday. Check back here or at Big Boulder's website for up-to-date information and pricing. See you this weekend!
